Three-time former champion Bernhard Langer returns to The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando for his 14th straight appearance at the PNC Father/Son Challenge with a new partner in tow.
Langer, a father of four, will tee it up alongside his eldest child, Jackie Langer John, when the tournament begins on Saturday. He is seeking to become the first competitor in PNC Father/Son Challenge history to win the event with three different children.

Your first PNC Father/Son, what have you heard about the event and what made you want to take part?
For years I have watched on TV and have heard from many TOUR professionals how much they have enjoyed the event. Everyone is competitive, but this event is about sharing time with family and loved ones. Usually Dad and I spend time on the course where he is helping me with my game- I thought it would be fun to team up and enjoy the time together.

PNC’s multi-year extension as title sponsor keeps the PGA Tour Challenge Event in Orlando reflecting the bank’s commitment to Central Florida. PNC has served as title sponsor of the tournament since 2012. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes will continue to play host to the PNC Father/Son Challenge. The 2018 PNC Father/Son Challenge will take place Friday-Sunday, Dec. 14-16, with television coverage on Golf Channel and NBC.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Sunday, December 17, 2017 – Angel Cabrera and Angel Cabrera Jr. shot a final round 60 (-12) on Sunday, following up yesterday’s round of 59 (-13), to seal victory at the 2017 PNC Father/Son Challenge with a 119 (-25) total.
The duo, who become the third team to win on their debut, started the day at 13 under par and never looked back, despite the lead changing hands on several occasions - eventually winning the prestigious event by three shots from Team Duval and Team Langer to earn the $200,000 first-place check.
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Saturday, December 16, 2017 – Argentinian two-time Major Champion, Angela Cabrera, and son Angel Cabrera Jr. fired a sensational bogey-free first round 59 (-13) to lead the 2017 PNC Father/Son Challenge at the halfway stage.
Playing in their first PNC Father/Son Challenge, Team Cabrera birdied the first hole before adding further gains on Nos. 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9 to turn at 6-under-par before coming back in 29, including three closing birdies to break the magic 60 mark.
Eighteen-time Major winner, former Father/Son champion and the most decorated player in the all-star 2017 PNC Father/Son Challenge field, Jack Nicklaus, is set to make his 16th appearance in the tournament and his first with 15-year-old Grandson, Gary “GT” Nicklaus.
At the age of 77, The Golden Bear joins Arnold Palmer as the only competitor to play alongside a grandson having usually played alongside his sons, Jack and Gary, on alternating years.
