David Duval and his stepson, Nick Karavites, shot 11-under-par 61 to take the first-round lead at the 2016 PNC Father/Son Challenge.
The duo birdied Nos. 1, 3-7, 13-16 and 18 to open up a one-stroke lead over Fred and Taylor Funk.

Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack II are playing together in the PNC Father/Son Challenge for the eight time this weekend. Their best finish as a team was second in 2003. The pair’s only expectations this year are to enjoy the time together.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Two-time U.S. Open winner Retief Goosen will wear several hats when making his PNC Father/Son Challenge debut alongside son, Leo, this year. The 47-year-old South African will take on the role of swing coach, mental coach and, most importantly, dad, when the duo tee it up at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, Dec. 8-11. As an eighth-grader, Leo plays on the varsity golf team at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando. He also competes on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and U.S. Kids Golf Tour.
