Nick Price and his son, Greg, may have finished in last place in their inaugural PNC Father/Son Challenge in 2013, but the experience of playing together as a team mattered more to them. Greg, 23, took up the game of golf only seven months before last year’s competition.
Nick Price never had the opportunity to play the PNC Father/Son Challenge in the past. Not because he couldn’t qualify – he is, after all, a three-time major champion – or because he didn’t have the desire. Price simply didn’t have a partner because none of his three children played golf. But 2013 is different for the President’s Cup captain.
